22 year old team GB snowboarder from Snowdonia, North Wales spending winters in the Alps competing in snowboard cross on both the Europa and World Cup circuits.
Maisie’s debut on the world tour was in 2017 at the age of nineteen, which was also the Olympic qualification year. Two months prior and one good run away from qualifying, Maisie had an accident and broke her heel – which took around a year to recover from. Despite this, Maisie had the opportunity to provide analysis on the BBC during Pyeongchang 2018. This season has finally proved that she is back from injury after a career best result earlier this year and finishing 5th in the Europa Cup overall ranking despite the end of the season not taking place.
Next season, the goal is to start cracking top 16’s at World Cup especially as it also marks the beginning of the next Olympic cycle so Maisie will work hard in order to be where I need to be come Beijing 2022.
WHAT DO you like to do when not competing?
When I’m not competing, I love to ride pow with mates or session a feature / pipe. During the off-season, I love to surf. I work as a surf instructor back home. You’ll also most likely find me climbing, wild swimming, skateboarding or off travelling!
