Dès leur plus jeune âge, Maisie et Ellie ont fait du snowboard ensemble. Elles avaient en commun la montagne, un groupe d'amis et une passion pour tous les sports extrêmes. C'est tout naturellement que Maisie a été la première athlète à rejoindre l'équipe d'Ellie et à être soutenue par la Fondation. Elle bénéficie d'un financement pour la prise en charge de son programme d'entraînement et de compétition.

QUELLE EST TA PLUS GRANDE AMBITION PROFESSIONNELLE ?

My goal is to be the best possible version of myself I can be, for this I need to train a lot but I love the progression, it’s probably my favourite part of snowboarding. I really want to make a difference in the sport and be looked upon as one of the greats like my grandad was in boat racing.

My childhood was basically just snowboarding as fast as I could around the mountains of Morzine Avoriaz with my dad until he realised I had some talent so I started doing competitions in boarder-cross. I eventually joined the Avoriaz club who introduced me to half pipe and slopestyle. Now its 2022 and I finished 7th in my first ever slopestyle World Cup and I have multiple Europa Cup podiums. I’m really proud of myself, slopestyle is not only a physically hard sport but mentally hard too, I’ve worked really hard to get to this point and all I want to do is work harder until I’m beyond the World Cup podiums and really masking a difference.

QUELS SONT TES OBJECTIFS POUR LES 12 PROCHAINS MOIS ?

I’ve just finished my winter season so I’m planning to take some time off now, hopefully get some surfing in but I’m really looking forward to pre season training in Europe, and the world cups next season. I’ve also made a trick list and its pretty much all I can think about. Hopefully I can get them consistent before the contests start, exciting times!

SI TU N'ÉTAIS PAS SNOWBOARDEUSE PROFESSIONNELLE, QUE FERAIS-TU ?

I really like the outdoors, I love doing via ferratas with my dad, there’s plenty to do in the alps so that’s pretty cool. So maybe something like that. I also love to draw and paint, I might have gone to university for art but I’m quite stoked on the career path I’ve already chosen.
