The Ellie Soutter Foundation is just over a year on from its formation. Ellie\u2019s family were completely astonished by the global reaction to Ellie\u2019s death and this foundation is a wonderful legacy to Ellie. Tony, Ellie\u2019s father said \u201che has been overwhelmed with the support and generosity of so many people. In fact it has been like holding a tiger by the tail as so much has happened in such a short time, no one in the foundation has had the resources to thank everyone for their generosity. This has varied from entire inclusive Ski holidays to to a pair of ski gloves as a raffle prize. From sitting on the board of Trustees to giving up an hour to translate a document. There have been Auctions in the UK and a lone man cycling from London to Les Gets. None of the people, companies or groups involved with all of the above and many more amazing events have ever had the recognition and gratitude they truly deserve\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We would like to extend a heartfelt and huge thank you to every one who has supported us this far in what ever way they have and a special thank you goes to :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Going forward the foundation, a year on has more in place and a good team working hard and will do it\u2019s upmost to promote all companies that offer their ongoing support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first year thanks to all the incredible support – The Ellie Soutter Foundation has raised an amazing \u00a364,000.00 and we have been able to sponsor 2 athletes with financial help and a complete mind and body package to help them on their path to success. We will be announcing the 3rd athlete to be sponsored by The Foundation at the Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Festival in October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mille mercis de la part de la Fondation Ellie Soutter !<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

La Fondation Ellie Soutter a vu le jour il y a d\u00e9sormais un peu plus d\u2019un an. La famille d\u2019Ellie a \u00e9t\u00e9 profond\u00e9ment touch\u00e9e par la r\u00e9action de chacun \u00e0 sa disparition et cette fondation est le plus bel hommage que nous pouvions lui rendre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tony, son papa, a confi\u00e9 avoir \u00ab \u00e9t\u00e9 submerg\u00e9 par le soutien et la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 de si nombreuses personnes. Il a alors fallu prendre le taureau par les cornes face \u00e0 une si grande tache se pr\u00e9sentant si subitement. Personne au sein de la fondation n\u2019\u00e9tait en mesure de remercier chaque participant pour le soutien et la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 dont ils ont fait preuve. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 s\u2019est traduite tant par les lots offerts lors de la tombola, allant d\u2019une paire de gants \u00e0 un s\u00e9jour complet \u00e0 la montagne, que par la participation de certains au comit\u00e9 de la fondation pour organiser son fonctionnement, tant par le fait de prendre une heure pour aider \u00e0 la traduction d\u2019un document que par l\u2019organisation d\u2019une vente aux ench\u00e8res en Angleterre. Une personne a m\u00eame parcouru \u00e0 v\u00e9lo la distance entre Londres et Les Gets en soutien \u00e0 la fondation !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aucun de ces contributeurs, que ce soient des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s, des individualit\u00e9s ou des groupes improvis\u00e9s pour l\u2019occasion, impliqu\u00e9s dans ces diverses actions ou d\u2019autres nombreux \u00e9v\u00e8nements n\u2019ont obtenu la reconnaissance et les remerciements qu\u2019ils m\u00e9ritent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est la raison pour laquelle nous aimerions adresser d\u2019immenses et chaleureux remerciements \u00e0 tous ceux qui nous ont accompagn\u00e9s et aid\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, de quelque mani\u00e8re que ce soit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vous avez \u00e9t\u00e9 des centaines et il est difficile de tous vous nommer mais sachez que nous appr\u00e9cions tous vos efforts et vous t\u00e9moignons une immense reconnaissance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le futur de la fondation s\u2019annonce radieux apr\u00e8s seulement un an d\u2019existence et nous avons constitu\u00e9 une excellente \u00e9quipe qui travaille d\u2019arrache-pied et fera de son mieux pour mettre en lumi\u00e8re les diverses participations des contributeurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lors de cette premi\u00e8re ann\u00e9e, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces participations, la Fondation Ellie Soutter a pu recueillir l\u2019incroyable somme de 64.000 Livres Sterling et nous avons \u00e9t\u00e9 en mesure de sponsoriser deux jeunes athl\u00e8tes en leur proposant non seulement une aide financi\u00e8re mais \u00e9galement un accompagnement moral et physique afin de les aider dans leur chemin vers le succ\u00e8s. Un troisi\u00e8me jeune athl\u00e8te int\u00e9grera prochainement l\u2019\u00e9quipe et l\u2019annonce se fera par la fondation \u00e0 l\u2019occasion du Telegraph Ski And Snowboard Festival courant octobre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
